Inspire Me Monday (on Tuesday.... again)

Here comes this weeks edition of Inspire me...er...Tuesday.
I love movies so I thought that I would share some of my go-to inspiring movies.
Every once in a while when I am really wanting to have a crafting day my inspiration will stall out just a bit so I turn to a movie that is absolutely inspiring.
All of these movies are breath taking and they always get my creative juices flowing.
A few of these movies even fall in to my all time favorite list.
Sorry this post is a bit photo heavy but I hope that you enjoy!
1. Marie Antoinette

2. Edward Scissor Hands
3. Breakfast at Tiffany's

4. Misses Pettigrew Lives For a Day

5. Fantastic Mr. Fox

6. Almost Famous

7. Funny Face

8. Lucky Number Slevin
9. 500 Days of Summer

All of these movies are beautifully made . The wardrobe selections and gorgeous interiors are a dream come true!
Do any of these movies inspire you? If not these, what movies do inspire you?

Crazy Beautiful Weekend

Hello there ! I hope that your weekend was lovely and that your week has gotten off to a wonderful start, my weekend was...well....a bit hectic.
So, I'm sorry you didn't hear from me on Friday or Monday.
Matt and shot two weddings this weekend. One here in Tampa, FL and the other in Savannah, GA. It was fun and Savannah is absolutely gorgeous but it was very very tiring to make that trip ( a six hour drive ) in between two full days of photographing weddings (typically about a ten hour day). None the less we had a great time!
I love to travel and see new things with Matt! We love the adventure of a new place, and Historic Downtown Savannah is beautiful, and the overall culture is so different than what we experience here in Tampa.
Savannah seemed to be an entire city of people who were active, and appreciated the outdoors and the natural beauty that surrounds them, also, there are a couple different art schools in Downtown Savannah so there is a very strong arts community.
We will definitely be paying another visit!

Anyhow, we are back home, unpacked, and I am ready to get back to The Lovely Lemon!

I thought you all might like a little sneak peak at a beautiful photo Matt took from Saturdays wedding! This photo is one of my favorite portfolio shots so far!

I will be back later tonight with this week's inspirations, "The Fashion Dilemma" weekly photos will be postponed until Friday which means you will have two weeks worth of outfits to rate! And don't forget about the giveaway later on in the week!

Happy Birthday to me...but also Happy Birthday to my blog!

That's correct friends...today is my birthday! Matt and I had a wonderful day tooling around downtown Orlando and Winter Park, but most excitingly I finally got to go to Hobby Lobby for myself! I'm so sad that there isn't one closer to me because that store is huge and I found so many cute charms and buttons, I will definitely be going back.

However I did over-look the fact that I have been blogging for over a year now! I began this blog on February 6th of last year just for fun to document my crafting endeavors and share my inspirations. It has been so rewarding to know that you are reading!

On that note.....Thank you so much for reading and joining in on my crafting adventures....your sweet comments always make my day! You all are the best readers a girl could hope for so check back for a sweet giveaway next week.....think of it as a little way to say thank you! ;)

P.S. That is absolutely not me in the photo above (I wish!)...it's Katy Perry at her own birthday party ....it's just such a rad photo and a pretty accurate depiction of what an awesome day I have had!

Encouraged to Craft :)

Recently I was gifted with two crafty little presents. One was a birthday gift and the other was just because! I have the best friends and family who are always encouraging my passions! Warm fuzzies..... :)
Check out my loot!

A little package arrived in the mail today and it contained these amazing vintage buttons that she found at a yard sale! I adore them and I can wait to make some lovely cup sleeves with them!

Thanks Lori!

And these beauties are from a lovely co-worker of mine. She arrived (very) early at Starbucks to open the store with me a few weeks ago and presented me with a bag from Hobby Lobby .
note: the closest Hobby Lobby is roughly 2 hours from where I live so it was exciting to see)
She had gone there with her mom and sister to get supplies for her sisters wedding and just couldn't resist snapping me up some beautiful yarn and buttons to make more cup sleeves!
Just for the heck of it presents....who doesn't love that?!

Thanks again Rachel!

Inspire me Monday [ on Tuesday ]

Hello! Well, we are almost mid-week once again and I find myself already behind....relate?
The laundry is piled up (and bills similarly) workin' hard for the man all day
...I digress......LIVING FOR THE MOMENT!
On that note.... Inspire Me Monday coming to you on Tuesday .
First up!

1. Cate Blanchett and her Oscar dress! Love or Hate?
I personally ADORE! The color palette is beautiful while the cut in sort of strangely beautiful...a structural pastel lovely.
But let's face it....Cate Blanchett can pull off interesting like nobodies business!

2. I have briefly changed courses in my crafting endeavors to learn (partially) jewelry making! I know a little bit and it's refreshing to learn a new skill....but lately I have been missing my yarn. The colors and textures! Crochet is back in my heart in a big way!

Which reminds me, I still haven't really shared with you the project that I was working on... patience dear friends patience. ;)

3. This color palette! I'm not sure why but I adore pastels this week! I blame Cate Blanchett.
Hopefully I can incorporate these colors into some projects this week!

4. Lastly the BHLDN collection of incredible wedding gowns, bridesmaids dresses, and accessories to swoon over!
I have been having so much fun browsing through all of their selections.
Here's the favorites...I think Matt and I need to get married again so that I can wear one of these beauties!

Thanks for joining in on this Tuesday night.
I'm dreaming up a pretty sweet little giveaway for next week so be sure to check back! ;)

The Fashion Dilemma : Week 1

Alright, week one of my fashion dilemma has been completed. IT was a bit strange photographing all of my outfits and I must confess there were about two outfits that I forgot to take photos of before we had to run out of the house to make it to wherever we were supposed to be on time. I'm determined to do much better next week! Ready or not?....here we go!

It's kind of confusing to me why I don't always feel like I am fashionable. I love fashion! I adore watching Project Runway and reading fashion magazines but somewhere in between doing those things and dressing myself, my brain gets a little scrambled. I see people all the time and think "I love her outfit!" but when it comes to the items that I purchase and wear I generally play it safe....I always feel like I somehow always look either too young or too old with my fashion choices.
That's where you come in!

The Fashion Dilemma is a challenge for both me and all of my readers.
Here's me first outfits on display for your helpful comments. Feel free to tell me what you like or (kindly) what's just not working for me. Also you can leave links to looks or clothes that you think would work!
Thank you! .....I feel like this is going to take a bit of work but it's going to be fun!
