Planning a craft show is no joke!

We are less than one week out from the Indie Craft Show! My friend Nikki (Misses Octopus, check her out!)has been helping me put it together for months now.

It all started with an idea to do a girls night at someone's house and set up tables with our stuff, just as a fun way to make a little extra cash.
Then she told me that we could use the (fairly large) clubhouse of her apartments for free!
It's such a big space that we needed other vendors too!
Luckily we have many crafty, talented friends! Now the Indie Craft Show is a ten vendor operation...and it seems like the whole town is coming!
I have definitely planned parties before but this would be my first event!
But it is no joke folks! These things cost money, and there's a lot to figure out, and a lot of people to organize! ...But it has been so fun!
The vendors for the show are super lovely ladies!

For this next week, in between crafting away in preparation for the show on Saturday,
I will be showing you all of the beautiful work that these wonderful vendors do!
Look forward in the next couple of days to learning about the lovelies I have been creating with lately!

Craft Show in less than two weeks! + flower pins!

Hello all! Less than two weeks before the big Indie Craft Show!
I've never sold items at a craft show before (much less planned the whole thing! lol)
I have been crafting LIKE A MANIAC! I am up to 102 cup sleeves and have successfully added into the mix Christmas/Halloween cup sleeves, as well as more boy friendly versions!
In addition to cup sleeves I will be selling a number of other creations which Iwill be sharing with you here!

First up....flower pins!
Remember these little guys I was working on?
I decided to make some in more earthy tones as well.
I've added a pin to the backs with the help of matching felt.....
....and I'm pleased as punch with how they came out!
MANY more flowers are springing to life this week....among many other things!
My hands have been very busy!
Check beck for previews of what some other lovely vendors will be selling!
Have a beautiful Tuesday!

Indie Craft Show Progress!

Hello all! I'm back from my South Carolina vacation...and it's back to work for me!
Of course I love getting away, but I love getting back home too. Unpacking, putting everything in it's place, getting back to my routine.....is satisfying to me.
The Indie Craft Show is coming up very fast (less than a month away now!) This is very out of the ordinary for me. I have planned parties before but I have never put together a craft show!
I'm so excited though, there are 9 vendors in the show selling super fun accessories and paintings! I know there are things I'm going to be purchasing!
Anyhow...I'm going to be a busy bee with preparations!
Further updates for the Indie Craft Show coming soon....but for now here's the flyer!
Now it's busy busy busy for me making TONS of these!
I now have over 70 cup sleeves made and ready to sell!
My goal is ot have 150 at the show!
Happy days!

I'm Packin' Up!

It's official! I leave for my long-awaited vacation on Friday morning super* early!
I have been a busy little bee this week packing up and making final arrangements for the doggie and putting a hold on our mail.
We are road tripping to Charleston SC for three days, and then on to Myrtle Beach SC for 5 more days!
I haven't had this much time off from work in over two years!
The lovely beach days and leisurely crafternoons should be revitalizing!

I hope to share a few posts during the week about the Indie Craft Show (and also show you some of the goodies that are going to be sold there!)
a few new crafty projects of my own, and what's floating my boat in the inspiration department!

Hope your Wednesday is lovely!
(now back to packing!)

5 Reasons to Look Forward to Fall

Thank goodness it's September! Oh, this Florida heat!
We are all coming into the part of the year known as fall (only sort-of fall here in Tampa Florida where the heat is still BLAZING!)
However....I do so look forward to the chilling weather that the fall months do bring!
I got to thinking this week?....What is it i am looking forward to most this year ?
Here's the top 5!

1. Scarves! (and boots!)
Once the cool weather rolls in this year I want to wear scarves with everything!
Maybe even crochet a few !
Even lightweight or silk scarves can make me feel more like fall even when worn with a tank top!
Here's one of my favorites from Modcloth.com!

2. Autumn Colors!
Here in Florida there are two colors to see the leaves. Green......and brown. (dead)
That does not mean that I don't adore the changing leaves of the fall season!

3. The NEW season of The Office!
Oh! What is going to happen next?! One of my favorite pass-times is to watch The Office seasons 1-6 while I craft!
(and this jsut happens to be one of my favorite moments from the show)

4. Bike Rides!
Matt and I got bikes this year! He has taken his out a few times but it has been waaaaay too hot for me to take mine out . But once the cool weather is upon us I'm busting that baby out!
If anyone knows where I can find a cute basket please comment with a link!

5. Watching Beauty and The Beast 100 times!
I'm not sure why really but Beauty and The Beast seems like such a autumn-time movie to me!
It's a childhood classic for me and this season I would love to become acquainted with it again!

I just LOVE this scene with the birds!

Oh! I can't just limit it to five reasons to be excited for fall!
Let's get you to ten!
6. making chili, stews, and other cold weather yums!
7. Pumpkin Spice lattes!
8. Learning to crochet a hat!
9. Halloween! (what will I be this year??)
10. The Indie Craft Show on October 16th!

Do you have big ideas for fall?
